Business Centre Breda and Etten-Leur 25 years!
Two locations. 225 companies. Sixteen employees. And almost ten million call minutes. How renting out office space came about by accident for Anton Kandel.

Two locations. 225 companies. Sixteen employees. And almost ten million call minutes. If you had told Anton Kandel, the founder of Business Centre, in the early 1990s that this would be the state of affairs in 2019, he would have looked at you with amusement. After all, renting out office space was something that came about by accident.
Anton had a temporary employment agency with branches throughout the Netherlands, including cities like Amsterdam and Rotterdam. In 1992, Anton, his wife Margot and daughter Natascha also wanted a branch in his own home town of Etten-Leur. But in the pre-internet era, a branch in the centre was still very important: job seekers literally walked in. The only available space was a large room above the shopping centre. Out of necessity, the idea was born to rent the extra space to small businesses. That turned out to be such a success that in 1994 Anton said farewell to the temping industry and opted entirely for office rental with high-quality services. In 1997 his son Daniël Kandel opened the branch on the Smederijstraat in Breda: a welcome expansion.
Services
The world has changed considerably over the past 25 years. And so have our services. What started with a fax and a 16K modem (who remembers the dial-up sound?) has now changed to super-fast fibre internet. We make sure companies have all the services and facilities they need for the new way of working. To govern is to foresee: that is why our customers and visitors already had access to a charging station for electric cars years ago. Our customer is king. And sitting still? Certainly not.
The future
Nobody has a crystal ball. Neither do we. But as a family business with great customers and relations, we see ourselves continuing with Business Centre for the next 25 years with great pleasure. Of course we hope that by then the third generation of Kandel will have joined the company. That seems to be on the right track: our children already help us out from time to time!
